When love is real, it finds a way...!
To get married is not only a girl’s dream but also her mother’s and grandmother’s. A dream of 24 years finally came true the day Roshan found Malavika. Thanks to online matrimonial sites and Malavika’s granny who pushed her to create profiles on the same. Their love story is a typical love story like any other couple in India- an arranged marriage. But what’s stunning about this arranged marriage is that Malavika and Roshan were deeply in love even before they got married. In fact, it seemed like the wait for D-Day to arrive was never ending.
Malavika’s mother, Deepthi, wanted a fusion wedding; a fusion of such diverse cultures that the guests would be left fascinated. A Malayali family wanting a Bollywood style wedding isn’t something you get to see every day. From a sangeet to saath phere, they wanted it all. “Since my mom was in Dubai, she decided to hire an event management team. Katha Weddings team came as a boon for us. My mom just trusted them blindly and let them plan my wedding and trust me, no one could’ve done it better” explains Malavika with a sigh of relief. The celebration of the day Malavika and Roshan were counting down to started off at Temple Tree Leisure with a Sangeet ceremony. The theme of this ceremony was White and Lights as the bride didn’t want too much bling. The pathway that led to the stage was
enclosed with fabric, green leaves and fairy lights. It truly felt like Malavika and Roshan’s fairytale was about to begin from here. The stage was adorned with white flowers in the
background and fairy lights that ran across the main lawn. The highlight of the ceremony was however, the bride’s mom, Deepthi, who gracefully danced her heart out, for the first
time in her life for her darling daughter. It was an emotional sight to behold. There was fun and laughter in the air. The emcee managed to delight the crowd with some amusing games
and pleasant dance performances. The night ended with the family members setting the dance floor on fire, grooving to the rocking hits of the DJ.
The next morning was the day when Malavika was going to be Roshan’s forever. The beautiful bond of marriage was going to unite them for eternity. The theme for the wedding was pink, white and green. They say that God’s blessings go far beyond anything we could dream of. Hence, at the entrance, stood a brass idol of Lord Ganesha ringed with a floral rangoli, where the groom and his family were welcomed by the bride’s family. The pathway
was topped with rajnigandha flowers along with dark pink and light pink gerbera garlands that hung from the cap of the pathway. Floral rangoli coupled with urulis on both sides was like cherry on the cake. The colours of the décor added to the cheerfulness of the occasion.
All the men and women were decked up in their finest attire. The bride entered under an elegant phoolon ka chadar wearing a gorgeour red lehenga. The mantap looked exquisite as toran with roses hung from the ceiling. It was undoubtedly a whimsical set-up. “Not a soul left the venue without commenting on the décor”, expresses Deepthi. The rituals were carried out by a pandit who was constantly entertaining the couple with his wit and humour. The bride and groom exchanged garlands and also performed the saath phere. “I can finally call myself Mrs. Roshan” coyly says the bride.
“Katha Weddings took care of every detail just like my mom would’ve done if she was here. The way Katha Weddings team planned the wedding was extraordinary and every single dream of my mom came to reality. With all my pre-wedding chores, Katha Weddings was really really helpful. They were really helpful with all my bridal preparations and helped me avoid the last minute chaos. A big big thank you and shout out to each one of your efforts. My wedding would be incomplete without each one of you. Thank you so much for envisioning my mom’s dreams and making it real. Katha Weddings Team, love you all so much. You played a very important role in my wedding. The efforts that my mom would take if she was here, you took equal amounts of efforts and you made my wedding beautiful.”, expresses Malavika. Deepthi says, “Katha Weddings Team were like family. I didn’t have to
visit the venue or overlook the arrangements even once because they were there to take care of everything. From the minutest detail like serving coffee in the room; a service which
was not available at the venue, to getting my daughter to the mantap, everything was taken care of with precision. Really Katha Weddings, it all meant so much to me. I’m glad that I had you, you are God sent. I didn’t have any last minute surprises which is usually the case with event management companies. Katha Weddings team fulfilled my dream of 24 years.”
